Euphrasia or Eyebright is a small plant with reddish and branched stems, toothed leaves and violet trilobed flowers with a yellow spot in the centre. It contains flavonoids (quercetose), glycosides (such as euphoside), phenolic acids, essential oils, lignans and tannins. In Greek, it is known as Euphasia, which means joy, due to the excellent results obtained after its intake.
